The University of North Carolina at Wilmington is under fire for a recent display of pride among some of its students. But this wasn't pride in their school or their country. These students were proud of their abortions.
The Women's Studies Department and LGBTQIA Resource Office joined forces to host a panel discussion with pro-choice activist Jennifer Baumgardner. The topic: women discussing their own abortions.
Volunteers at the event sold t-shirts with "I had an abortion" written on them. Students could purchase the shirts for $15.
